Report provided program level recommendations for Utah’s sensitive aquatic species Conservation Agreements and Strategies teams. Also provided recommendations for individual sensitive aquatic species agreements. Presented expanded use of spatial data to inform strategies.
Proposal Development Specialist
For three years I worked with faculty from the Department of Wildland Resources, The Ecology Center, Department of Biology and the Office of Research and Graduate Studies. I helped inexperienced faculty members get up to speed regarding various funding mechanisms and I helped them through their first agency or foundation proposals, rewriting sections as needed. For senior faculty I reviewed proposals for internal sense, readability, and compliancy with donor requirements.
Conservation Science Specialist
While at WWF I wrote my first large grant proposal and my group was awarded $500,000 from NASA to complete a cooperative multi-partner project. I contributed to other ultimately successful proposals submitted to The Summit Foundation, USAID, and the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation.
Executive Director
As Executive Director of Stokes Nature Center in Logan, I was responsible for all proposal writing and fundraising. Each year I wrote several successful grant proposals to federal, state and local granting entities.
